Calmar Land Supports Community Development Through School Infrastructure Donation
Calmar Land, a well-known real estate developer, demonstrated its commitment to community development. The company provided a waiting shed to a local school as part of its school infrastructure donation. This generous act shows how real estate companies can support communities. They achieve this by improving public spaces and enhancing local facilities.
On December 6, the school administration officially received the newly constructed waiting shed for Lucena City National High School Silangang Mayao Extension. The heartwarming ceremony marked an important moment for the school community.
Last June, Calmar Land successfully raised funds for the school infrastructure donation project. The funds were collected through its ‘Ready Set Repair’ Fun Run for a Cause 2024. Additionally, the event united community members and local supporters. They enthusiastically rallied around the cause to fund much-needed infrastructure improvements at the school.
‘Ready Set Repair’ and its Impact
Additionally, the waiting shed was strategically built near the school’s entrance. It will provide students with a safe and comfortable space to wait for transportation. The shed will also serve as a vital shelter, especially during rainy or sunny weather. This project is part of a larger initiative to improve school facilities and the well-being of students. They will benefit from this new addition for years to come.
Project Director of Calmar Land, Ms. Ellen Grimaldo, attended the Waiting Shed Ceremony with Ms. Wilma Castro, Calmar Land’s Internal Audit Manager, and Mr. Jeffrey Dumalen, Marketing Manager of Calmar Land. Working collaboratively with the school administration, they successfully signed the documents for the turnover.
A Symbol of Commitment and Solidarity
Not only did the fun run produce the waiting shed, but it also served as an extension of Calmar Land’s celebration of the company’s 35th anniversary. In addition, the event embodied the spirit of philanthropy, helping both the school and its students.
