Turnover of Waiting Shed for Beneficiary School from Calmar Land’s Fun Run for a Cause

A Collaborative Effort for a Worthy Cause

In a heartwarming ceremony, the newly constructed waiting shed for Lucena City National High School Silangang Mayao Extension was officially turned over to the school administration last December 6.

The project was a direct result of the funds raised from ‘Ready Set Repair’  Fun Run for a Cause 2024 held by Calmar Land, last June. The event brought together community members and local supporters to raise funds for much-needed infrastructure improvements at the school.

‘Ready Set Repair’ and its Impact

The waiting shed, strategically built near the school’s entrance, will provide students with a safe and comfortable space to wait for transportation, especially during rainy or sunny weather. This project is one of the many initiatives to improve the facilities and well-being of students, who will benefit from this new addition for years to come.

The Waiting Shed Ceremony was attended by the Project Director of Calmar Land, Ms. Ellen Grimaldo, with Ms. Wilma Castro, Calmar Land’s Internal Audit Manager, and Mr. Jeffrey Dumalen, Marketing Manager of Calmar Land. They all signed the documents for the turnover together with the school administration.

A Symbol of Commitment and Solidarity

The waiting shed is not only the fruit of the fun run. It is also an extension of Calmar Land’s celebration of the company’s 35th anniversary in the spirit of philanthropy and helping the school and its students.
